The thought of one of my siblings actually dying is something I couldn't come to grips with. I couldn't wrap my mind around that. Cancer changed all that.  My sister Michelle lost her battle in March of 2015. Just weeks after, I watched some dear friends bury their 30-year-old son at the end of his courageous battle. Than this past December we lost our official starter from our inaugural event, Mary Anne Sutter, Michelle's and my sister, after a courageous 8 year battle with colon cancer.  Everyone has been touched by cancer and once touched by cancer, the option to sit by and do nothing is pushed aside and is taken over by a desire to do something. Our goal is simple: To unite the Akron area community and to inspire others to get up and make a difference.

Our vision became a reality in 2016, and the Inaugural Four Leaf Clover Run was magical! We were left with a feeling of joy and celebration for life. Reaction from over 200 runners, walkers, and family fun run participants was amazingly positive. To quote one runner, Paula Bz, “Loved this run! A special feel-good event; awesome cause; course; volunteers; and wow, what a post-race celebration! Everyone should put this on a “must do” list!!'
